In the central region of Upper Austrian rises up the monastery of The Canons Regular of St. Augustine’s at St. Florian.
Build on the grave of the famous martyr Florian, it is now one of the most important baroquebuildings in Austria.
The tour takes you through the magnificent basilica, the library that recalls the great scientific achievements - especially in the field of historical research - the magnificent marble hall, the Imperial rooms, the picture gallery with the most important works by Albrecht Altdorfer, master of the Donauschule, and the special rooms in memory of Anton Bruckner, the musician of God. With the St. Florian Boys' Choir, the musical tradition continues - this Film gives you an insight into this cultural and spiritual center of the region!
